About Teja

I help self-critical Women Of Color unlearn people pleasing and start honoring their own voices and needs

Do you ever feel like you’re always showing up for everyone else, but when it’s your turn to fall, it feels like there’s no one there to catch you? You’re the one people depend on. The strong one. But when it comes to your feelings, there’s no room for them. No one checks in on you the way you check in on everyone else. You’re the one who always knows what to say or do, yet deep down, you're wondering: When is it my turn to be held? To be understood? Maybe you’ve felt anxious, stuck, overwhelmed, numb, or overthinking everything. You might struggle to express emotions, say “no” without guilt, or shake the weight of old wounds echoing into the present. If any of that resonates, you’re not alone. And I’d be honored to hold space for you. I see you.

I’m deeply passionate about helping clients connect with the part of them that knows they deserve softness, clarity, and care. I love working with curious, reflective, and open people. You don’t have to show up perfectly. You just have to show up.

In this space, we take things at your pace; it’s all about collaboration. We get curious about the beliefs and patterns that no longer serve you. We work with the parts of you that learned to be guarded, even when all you want is connection. Together, we’ll explore your story and help you understand how past experiences shape your present, but don’t have to define your future.

So if you’re ready to feel seen, supported, and finally held, I’m ready to walk with you. Schedule a free consultation here., and let’s begin.

Allow me to empower you in a compassionate and insightful manner.

My approach to therapy is based on the client’s unique needs. I pull from different methods, including Emotion-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Inner Child Work, Mindfulness, and Trauma-Informed care approaches. My goal is to help you reconnect with your emotions, set healthy boundaries, quiet the inner critic, challenge and reframe negative thoughts/beliefs. More than anything, I want to help you feel empowered to take up space without guilt and shame. You don’t have to carry it all alone anymore. You don’t have to have it all figured out. Healing starts with being honest with yourself and with someone who gets it.

More About Me

Simple pleasure: Late night drives, replaying the same song, traveling, discovering new artists, binge watching my favorite shows (Sex & The City and Scandal), having something sweet after dinner, dancing, being a dog mom.

Favorite quote: “You are your best thing” -Toni Morrison

Not-so-fun fact: I’m a Libra (the sign of the scales). I always see both sides of everything; it’s a blessing and a curse!
