Sadé Barksdale-Cureton, LCAT, LPAT, ATR-BC, MHC-LP
Are you struggling to put into words the weight of years spent navigating infertility and reproductive health challenges?
The quiet hope you carry, even as grief, sadness, and fear of the unknown settle in, feels impossible to share. You want to talk about it, but it feels too private. Wrapped in shame and the deep fear that no one could possibly understand.
I see you.
And while I may not fully grasp every dimension of what you're carrying, I know it must be incredibly heavy to hold alone.
In our sessions, you don't have to find the words right away. Instead, we create. Using paint, markers, colored pencils, collage, and clay, we let images speak when language fails us. Through visual journaling, every mark on paper carries meaning. Every brushstroke holds a memory, and every line offers a moment of release and peace.
The best part? You don't have to be an artist. You just need an open mind and a willingness to let the creative process lead you somewhere new.
There is hope on the other side of this silence. You don't have to keep carrying this alone.
If you're ready to lay down the weight of these emotions and maybe pick up a paintbrush, I invite you to reach out.

My Approach
Art Therapy (ATR-BC) As a Board-Certified Art Therapist, Sade uses evidence-based expressive arts techniques to help clients externalize and process emotions that feel too difficult to verbalize. Visual journaling, painting, collage, and clay work become powerful tools for grief processing, self-discovery, and healing. You do not need to be an artist, just open to the process.
Psychodynamic Processing By gently exploring patterns, past experiences, and the deeper emotions that shape how we relate to ourselves and our bodies, Sade helps clients develop self-understanding and compassion, particularly around the shame and grief that so often accompany reproductive health challenges.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Practical, structured tools to help identify and reframe the unhelpful thought patterns, the self-blame, shame, and fear, that so often accompany infertility diagnoses and reproductive loss.
More About Me
Simple Pleasures: Morning matcha lattes or an iced coffee, baking cookies, watching home design shows, making art (painting/drawing/etc), traveling, and pilates.

Not-so-fun fact: I’m notorious for keeping far too many tabs open at once. One day I’ll close them… maybe.
