About Vanessa
I empower WOC to pour into all aspects of their health, so they can be the best version of themselves.
Vanessa Rock, LMSW
You don’t have to have it all together. You can be strong and gentle, empowered and unsure, stable and in disarray all at the same time. We’ve been conditioned to believe that our lives have to be “either/or,” but I want to help you see it can be “both/and”. You deserve to see yourself in a human, fallible way. We all make mistakes, no is perfect, and giving yourself the grace in everyday situations can help you forgive yourself for things outside of your control.
I’m passionate about the everyday girl. My hope is to help women who are juggling various loads figure out which tools they need to sharpen, and which have been overworked. It’s all about exploring better ways to experience your life’s journey. If you are a spiritual individual, it’s okay to couple faith and therapy to address your concerns. I believe in mindfulness and mediation; these practices can center you in inexplicable ways.
I’ve seen the changes people make in their own lives once they give themselves the chance to be human. I want to support an already formed YOU to realize areas where fear and doubt may lead to stress, depression and burnout.

I focus on on your physical health, mental health, spiritual health and emotional
I take a person-centered, trauma-informed approach to psychotherapy. In our sessions, we will deep dive into childhood experiences and how they inform today’s experiences. I specialize in CBT techniques like guided discovery, reframing and journaling as well as DBT approaches like mindfulness, acceptance, emotional regulation and motivational interviewing. I am a deep listener and want to hear what isn’t being said when you speak.
